The Joy of Grumpy's Shooters

Spring is slowly making its way to the Midwest, which can only mean one thing...
The beginning of another SPORTY SUMMER.
The end of April will introduce a brand new season of the local softball phenomenon, Grumpy's Shooters. Joy attended a few games last season and expressed zero interest in hitting, fielding grounders, pitching, catching, or picking daisies.

While I am busy trying to convince Joy to be physically active this summer, enjoy the springy days ahead and consider coming to Bryn Mawr field to witness the fine athleticism and sportiness of Grumpy's Shooters.

I do love picking daisies.

In Knit Neck Deep

I have been trying to learn about this machine as much as possible for the past three months. We recently doubled our needles for the best ribs in town. This Brother Electroknit KH-950 is pure magic. Lora Kinnan of Daisy Knits has become my best friend. Her basement is filled with piles of yarn, beautiful tiger sweaters, a moisture-sucking ironing board and loads of other things to envy and touch.

What we're dealing with here is a gem of an instrument, a real purl, if you will.
