dang...that is cute.
I would love this hat, for myself, to brighten up the winters in the NW. I've admired your knitwear for a long time, Annie. Thanks for the chance!
I would be sooo happy to spend the coming winter with a hat like that! (it rhymes!)
Of course I would keep it myself, because I loooove water melons.
I hope I win.
Hey People! Don't forget to write your email address so I can contact you if you win. Thank you!

I would keep it for myself because it would make me happy every time I looked at it and put it on my head.
Thank you, Annie!
I'd definitely keep this for myself, cause well I like it too much to give it away ;) P
The watermelon pom-pom surfaces again! I fell in love with it when you first posted an image of it a few months ago.
If I win, I would wear the hat myself - reason being I literally JUST bought my boyfriend the Triangle Stripe Triangle hat for his birthday in early September. Winters in Pittsburgh are pretty brutal and miserable, and wearing hats made by you will definitely cheer us up!

Hi Annie,
I don't know if you've ever been to London, England but it's very very cold in the winter. Although I've got long hair when I'm cycling or walking around the city my ears get super duper frozen...This lovely favourite fruit hat would keep my little ears warm and keep me looking cute.

If I would win this very adorable hat, I would wear it myself, I think from the day it arrives, it's almost feeling like autumn overhere in Holland.

Ohh boy, I be lovin that pom pom. This hat is seriously wunderbar and I would love to keep it for myself, but my head is huuuuuuge. This is totally my bestie Alice's style, though, so I would give it to her because she is awesome.

i love your stuff! i would put that on my head to model it then sadly give it to someone w/ a smaller head. probably my roommate since this will be her first winter in nyc (she just moved here from l.a.) she wears a lot of black and white, so the pompom would be a nice bit of color to her wardrobe.

fluffiest pom pom ever! I love it. It would keep my head warm every day!

OOPS I forgot to actually enter this contest. I'm selfish so I'd totally keep it, unless it didn't fit or something. Then I'd give it to my visionary artist friend Tara Jensen. If you do an image search you'll see what I mean.

I think I would share it with my dear friend Gilda. We could make a gif where we exchange it on our heads. beep bop. So rad!
oh! i love the watermelon pom! i'd keep it for myself so that my partner-in-crime and i could both be wearing ALL creations on our adventures. (i got her the cream multi triangle and it is sooooo awesome.)

Hi Annie,
It's so beautiful. I'd put it on my own noggin. We're coming into watermelon season here and can't wait! They also seem to have been on my radar - currently making plans to dye yarn to knit a little persons watermelon striped jumper complete with seeds and rind!
Loving loving what you do.

Oh Annie!
For some reasons watermelons have always epitomized summer for me. Almost making them nostalgically tragic, I could cry if I were eating a watermelon right now. I can already tell this winter will be tough, today was my second day of school and it already feels like fall. I would keep this hat for myself, but share it with celestine. Our room will always be your room too! we will misssss you this winter.
sweil@mcad.edu
love,soph
Love the black and white. Have you ever thought of making a hooded scarf?
ellipsisigh@yahoo.com
Oh this is sweet. I'd like to say that I would share it but that is pretty unlikely. It's just too much fun to share. It's quite ironic - a bit of summer on a piece of winter apparel!
My name is Belinda, and my email address is simple.precious@gmail.com.
hi annie...!
i would give this hat to my housemate. she is currently in pom-pom making mode, and came out of her room the other night and said "i was reading this how-to on pom pom's and it said "now you've finished your pom-pom, what to do with it? well, the obvious would be to put it on top of a beanie" and she thought this was hilarious and SO WEIRD. me and my other housemate told her it probably was the general go to use for pom-poms.
also, if shes my housemate then i can wear the dash dot beanie too. we share clothes.
my name is Emilia and email emiliabatchelor@gmail.com
I would definitely have to be selfish and keep this hat for me! its the bomb! It makes me very exited for colder weather!!

NYC winters are cold as heccckkk, so I'd probably keep it for myself. I never even wore hats until I moved here, and it's a downright necessity to ward off the bitter cold.
I loveee your stuff, but can't afford it, and thus use it as inspiration for my own projects!
Great hat! I'd give it to my little friend Edie, she loves fruit (watermelons!), dinosaurs and space rockets. It's probably a bit big for her but I think she'll love it! (do you do kids sizes, btw?)
You can contact me via my google profile if I win - am a little reluctant to write my email address down publicly...
Gabi Smith
gcsmith@email.wm.edu
I loveeee this hat! I would definitely keep it for myself so I can be prepared for the winters in Virginia that are surprisingly cold! But, I would also probably share it with my sister, only if she promises to give it back :)
thank you!

I would give this gorgeous hat to my Aussie bestfriend Jules who stood next to me as we pressed our noses against the window glass in Melbourne to get a look at your clothes on the rack of the store that was closed:(
She loved your stuff and I felt real proud to tell her it came from Mpls!
Dear Everyone,
Thanks to all who have entered so far. Reading these tidbits has been so much fun, you are all so positive! It's wonderful. And your stories are sweet. I should do this more often. Good luck!
I would definitely be wearing this hat because I adore your patterns. I am always cold and have a small but growing hat collection for daily wear in and out doors. I don't really like to take them off when I get to where I'm going, and sometimes I even sleep in them.
ashley
ashley.mullikin@gmail.com
watermelons are my favorite summer fruit. so i would keep the hat for myself.
Annie,
You are such an inspiration. I have enjoyed reading your blog and seeing your knitwear line develop and evolve.
I would definitely keep this hat for myself, because I love and value homemade items. They are so much more special and unique.

Hihi!
Most awesome beanie!
Would definitely keep it for myself because i apparently have a head the size of a marble and marbles get cold in the winter, especially when they are travelling north next year.
emmarayward@gmail.com
Cold days would always be happy days with this hat. I would definitely keep it. It's beautiful!!
lpinckne@gmail.com
I'd try it on first ! If it's too small then I'd give it to my stylin' niece cuz it's so whimsical and fun!
Mutaremail@gmail.com

It would be for myself because I am a selfish, selfish person and this hat would induce in me an inordinately fierce joy every time I put it on.
Though I am but a poor college student, the discovery of your knitwear in January was a revelation (I am normally quite the fashion bum), to the point where I began to revise my life and finances so that I could justify (in a sappy sense "be worth") purchasing a sweater. After half a year of living mindfully, this summer I rewarded myself with a sweet, sweet Sticker Stripe Box Top (in a slammin' green). (Cheeto Maryland, I shall have you yet!)
While I would covet this hat just because it comes from this shop, what I would really want to do is establish my kickin' sweater and this hat as cornerstone pieces of a new wardrobe, and thus a bit of a new, or at least improved, identity.
ANYWAY, that personal life essay aside: I would want it for my own; my precious, my squishy, my other slightly creepy and ill-ending movie reference.
Thank you!
fantastic!
i would wear this hat but also make it available to loan to any chilly and interested parties. i am originally from a land without weather(Los Angeles) but i am moving to Berlin next year and this hat would give me the super powers to survive winter. just keep your head up, looking forward to watermelons. and it is fun just to apply for your creation!
all the best,
carrie
ingenuextrodinaire@gmail.com
Hi Annie!
As I am Emilia's (comment above) pom pom obsessed housemate, I would of course have to keep the beanie for myself!
Mainly because A: I do not have the skills to craft my own watermelon pom pom. B: ever since Emilia purchased your super stasher I have been stylistically inferior to her and C: I once read a quote from the great Hello Kitty "you are my watermelon friend" and from that day on developed an unnatural obsession with all things watermelon shaped and flavoured.
(Also, I'm a fangirl and wrote about the brand on my unimportant blog, here: http://mymelonsoda.blogspot.com/2011/07/all-knitwear.html - the name of which is also, melon related.)
Oh, and I promise to share! ^_^
xx emmieeerae@gmail.com
hi annie...
the hat is so cute that i would put it on my head if i win. i always put on white and black clothes on myself. so the colourful little ball on top of the knit hat would add some colour on my body.
looking forward if i can put it on.
thx a lot.

it's for me! i would share it with my friend though, he would love it too.
Although I would love it for myself it probably wouldn't fit my big head. Therefore, I would give it to my 6 year old daughter who is starting back in school tomorrow. She is already surpassing me in the style stakes so this would just be the cherry, or rather watermelon on top! We had a non-existent summer here in Ireland with temperatures already wintery like so a wooly hat is needed badly!

Hi
I have just discovered your amazing knitwear!!!
I would have to keep the hat as entering my final year of university I think I may need it as inspiration to keep going when knitting machines are being... lets say temperamental plus its just too cute to give away!
Rhewittgang@aol.com
i would give it to jen! (maybe)
i would keep it for myself!!!!
i knit a few hats last year and gave them all as gifts. i think it's only fair that i get the most adorable one for myself. :P
What a darling hat! I would, of course, give it to my daughter as I love to spoil her.

I've loved your work for so long. I can never decide what color/pattern combo I love most so winning this hat would be a treat, indeed! I truly dig the graphic black and white and adore that watermelon pom-pom. I'd wear it myself. No question.

Annie,
If I won that beautiful hat I would want to wear it but instead I would make a cute life sized Annie pillow head and put the hat on that adorable stuffed head and cuddle up dearly to you every day and every night and take you out on the town to karaoke and much more so that it will make me feel at ease when you aren't here in MPLS in October. :( Don't go.

It is so lovely - I would have to keep it for myself. I moved from MN to Iceland. MN is usually colder than Iceland, but when it goes from sun, to rain, to hail, to sleet in a matter of minutes I need a hat like this to keep warm. Thanks.
i'm vanessa.
vanessa at ziazia dot org
I would give it to any of my boys, or they can share. one being my son, he likes colorful and happy hats and he tends to pick clothing in general that's like that. the other boy would be my guy (son's dad) and he has kept all of my hats for the past 6 years, he borrows them every winter and they end up being his because his. i don't mind, his head in the winters needs them more than mine :). The watermelon pom pom might be a little too happy for him but something like that happened with a pair of red pants that are now his favorite pair and again with a pair of purple docmartens that i gave to him as a gift, also favorite pair now.
And i guess they can share.
adroolable hat. will reluctantly share, would rather keep my noggin warm. I'm rather cold blooded.

What a gorgeous hat, I'd love to keep it for myself but I'd have to pass it onto my friend Sharif. He loves hats and just got married, but I forgot to buy a wedding present! Jacky nwisbest@gmail.com
I'd fight my hardest to keep that hat on my own head, but I'm sure it would get stolen by friends on a weekly basis.

if i were to win i would keep it for my own head, because i get very cold ears in winter, especially while biking around in the wind and frankly it's too cute to give up. might let my roommate borrow it if she promises not to lose it though!
best hat ever.
If I were to win I would keep it for myself because it would look so awesome my pretty colored hair and I need a new hat for the upcoming chilly weather!!
:D
if i won this i would keep this for myself because it has my two favorite colors and it would match alot of my wardrobe and my ears get cold in the winter!

I've been following your blog for awhile now. If I win this hat I should give it to my beautiful 26 yr old daughter. She would look wonderful walking around Chicago in this hat! I love your designs and think they would look good on a 54 year old (me) too!
billicummings@gmail.com
This hat would find it's way on to my sister's head. Even though I love it, it's totally her style. And style is a new thing for her. Until very recently she saw clothes as more of an annoyance than a way to express herself. Now she's wearing all kinds of bright colors and bold prints things even I'm too intimidated to wear! This hat would fit right into her new wardrobe.
